BI Business Analyst
We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented BI Business Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will analyze product-related data, prepare business requirements for new analytic solutions, generate insights, and provide actionable recommendations to improve product performance, user experience, and overall business growth. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, marketing, and sales to support data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzing large datasets related to product performance, user behavior, and market trends.
- Performance Monitoring: Tracking and analyzing key product metrics (KPIs), such as customer retention, product usage, and user engagement.
- Preparing business and technical requirements for new analytic solutions.
- Data-Driven Strategy: Working closely with the product team to identify opportunities for product enhancements, optimizations, and new feature development.
- Customer Segmentation: Performing customer segmentation analysis to understand different user cohorts and personalize the product experience.
- Collaboration: Partnering with product managers, engineers, and other teams to inform and align data-driven decisions.
- Data Quality: Ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency in reporting solutions.
- Preparing documentation for a new analytic solution.
- Gathering feedback from stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Computer Science. A master’s degree is a plus.
- 4+ years of experience in a BI Business Analyst / Business Analyst role, preferably within product teams.
- Experience with data visualization tools, with a strong preference for Power BI.
- Clear understanding of product metrics.
- Familiarity in data querying languages like SQL.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, R) is a plus.
- Familiarity with A/B testing and experimentation frameworks.
- Ability to interpret complex data, identify patterns, and solve product-related problems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present insights and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to data quality and accuracy.
Nice to have:
- Experience working in a tech or e-commerce company.
- Experience with product analytics tools such as Amplitude
- Familiarity with product lifecycle and agile development processes.
