Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced General Manager with a tech background to oversee the daily operations of the company while driving technology-driven business strategies. This role combines leadership, management, and technical expertise to ensure business goals are met and technology is effectively leveraged across operations, product development, and client-facing services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of technology trends, business management, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute business strategies, ensuring they align with the company’s vision and goals.
- Lead and drive the integration of technology into all aspects of the business to improve efficiency, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the executive team to define and implement long-term business plans and technology strategies.
Operational Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring productivity, performance, and quality across departments.
- Manage cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment between technology, operations, sales, and marketing departments.
- Optimize business processes through technology integration, process automation, and continuous improvement.
Product & Technology Integration:
- Lead product and technology teams to deliver high-quality products or services.
- Ensure technology is leveraged to solve business problems and create new opportunities.
- Work closely with engineering teams to define product roadmaps and align them with business objectives.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Build and lead cross-functional teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and career development opportunities.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Ensure that staff have the necessary technical expertise and resources to succeed.
Budget & Financial Management:
- Manage the budget for both operations and technology investments.
- Ensure financial goals and objectives are met through cost-effective management of resources and technology.
- Drive cost-effective technology solutions and ensure ROI from technology investments.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and partners.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on business performance, technology initiatives, and market trends.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences, staying ahead of market and technology developments.
Performance Monitoring:
- Set measurable KPIs for operational and technological performance and ensure these are met.
- Continuously monitor and analyze business performance, taking corrective action where needed.
- Use data analytics and business intelligence tools to inform decision-making.
Risk & Compliance Management:
- Ensure the company complies with all relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with operations, technology, and data security.
Requirements
- 5+ years in a technology leadership role, including experience as a CTO, VP of Engineering, or senior tech leadership role.
- Proven track record of leading technology teams and driving product development in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong expertise in software architecture.
- Proven experience in managing operations and driving technology strategy in a business setting.
- Understanding of emerging technologies and how they can impact business models.
- Demonstrated success in managing and scaling operations, products, and teams in a technology-driven company.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
